Psalms 33

Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous! Praise is fitting for the upright.

हे धर्मियों, यहोवा के कारण जयजयकार करो। क्योंकि धर्मी लोगों को स्तुति करना शोभा देता है।

Give thanks to the LORD with the lyre. Sing praises to him with the harp of ten strings.

वीणा बजा-बजाकर यहोवा का धन्यवाद करो, दस तारवाली सारंगी बजा-बजाकर उसका भजन गाओ।

Sing to him a new song. Play skillfully with a shout of joy!

उसके लिये नया गीत गाओ, जयजयकार के साथ भली भाँति बजाओ।

For the LORD’s word is right. All his work is done in faithfulness.

क्योंकि यहोवा का वचन सीधा है; और उसका सब काम निष्पक्षता से होता है।

He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of the loving kindness of the LORD.

वह धार्मिकता और न्याय से प्रीति रखता है; यहोवा की करुणा से पृथ्वी भरपूर है।

By the LORD’s word, the heavens were made: all their army by the breath of his mouth.

आकाशमण्डल यहोवा के वचन से, और उसके सारे गण उसके मुँह की श्वास से बने।

He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap. He lays up the deeps in storehouses.

वह समुद्र का जल ढेर के समान इकट्ठा करता; वह गहरे सागर को अपने भण्डार में रखता है।

Let all the earth fear the LORD. Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

सारी पृथ्वी के लोग यहोवा से डरें, जगत के सब निवासी उसका भय मानें!

For he spoke, and it was done. He commanded, and it stood firm.

क्योंकि जब उसने कहा, तब हो गया; जब उसने आज्ञा दी, तब वास्तव में वैसा ही हो गया।

The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing. He makes the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.

यहोवा जाति-जाति की युक्ति को व्यर्थ कर देता है; वह देश-देश के लोगों की कल्पनाओं को निष्फल करता है।

The counsel of the LORD stands fast forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

यहोवा की योजना सर्वदा स्थिर रहेगी, उसके मन की कल्पनाएँ पीढ़ी से पीढ़ी तक बनी रहेंगी।

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.

क्या ही धन्य है वह जाति जिसका परमेश्वर यहोवा है, और वह समाज जिसे उसने अपना निज भाग होने के लिये चुन लिया हो!

The LORD looks from heaven. He sees all the sons of men.

यहोवा स्वर्ग से दृष्टि करता है, वह सब मनुष्यों को निहारता है;

From the place of his habitation he looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth,

अपने निवास के स्थान से वह पृथ्वी के सब रहनेवालों को देखता है,

he who fashions all of their hearts; and he considers all of their works.

वही जो उन सभी के हृदयों को गढ़ता, और उनके सब कामों का विचार करता है।

There is no king saved by the multitude of an army. A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

कोई ऐसा राजा नहीं, जो सेना की बहुतायत के कारण बच सके; वीर अपनी बड़ी शक्ति के कारण छूट नहीं जाता।

A horse is a vain thing for safety, neither does he deliver any by his great power.

विजय पाने के लिए घोड़ा व्यर्थ सुरक्षा है, वह अपने बड़े बल के द्वारा किसी को नहीं बचा सकता है।

Behold, the LORD’s eye is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his loving kindness,

देखो, यहोवा की दृष्टि उसके डरवैयों पर और उन पर जो उसकी करुणा की आशा रखते हैं, बनी रहती है,

to deliver their soul from death, to keep them alive in famine.

कि वह उनके प्राण को मृत्यु से बचाए, और अकाल के समय उनको जीवित रखे।

Our soul has waited for the LORD. He is our help and our shield.

हम यहोवा की बाट जोहते हैं; वह हमारा सहायक और हमारी ढाल ठहरा है।

For our heart rejoices in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

हमारा हृदय उसके कारण आनन्दित होगा, क्योंकि हमने उसके पवित्र नाम का भरोसा रखा है।

Let your loving kindness be on us, LORD, since we have hoped in you.

हे यहोवा, जैसी तुझ पर हमारी आशा है, वैसी ही तेरी करुणा भी हम पर हो।
