Psalms 18

For the Chief Musician. By David the servant of the LORD, who spoke to the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. He said, I love you, LORD, my strength.

प्रधान बजानेवाले के लिये। यहोवा के दास दाऊद का गीत, जिसके वचन उसने यहोवा के लिये उस समय गाया जब यहोवा ने उसको उसके सारे शत्रुओं के हाथ से, और शाऊल के हाथ से बचाया था, उसने कहा हे यहोवा, हे मेरे बल, मैं तुझ से प्रेम करता हूँ।

The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.

यहोवा मेरी चट्टान, और मेरा गढ़ और मेरा छुड़ानेवाला है; मेरा परमेश्वर, मेरी चट्टान है, जिसका मैं शरणागत हूँ, वह मेरी ढाल और मेरी उद्धार का सींग, और मेरा ऊँचा गढ़ है।

I call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; and I am saved from my enemies.

मैं यहोवा को जो स्तुति के योग्य है पुकारूँगा; इस प्रकार मैं अपने शत्रुओं से बचाया जाऊँगा।

The cords of death surrounded me. The floods of ungodliness made me afraid.

मृत्यु की रस्सियों से मैं चारों ओर से घिर गया हूँ, और अधर्म की बाढ़ ने मुझ को भयभीत कर दिया;

The cords of Sheol were around me. The snares of death came on me.

अधोलोक की रस्सियाँ मेरे चारों ओर थीं, और मृत्यु के फंदे मुझ पर आए थे।

In my distress I called on the LORD, and cried to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple. My cry before him came into his ears.

अपने संकट में मैंने यहोवा परमेश्वर को पुकारा; मैंने अपने परमेश्वर की दुहाई दी। और उसने अपने मन्दिर में से मेरी वाणी सुनी। और मेरी दुहाई उसके पास पहुँचकर उसके कानों में पड़ी।

Then the earth shook and trembled. The foundations also of the mountains quaked and were shaken, because he was angry.

तब पृथ्वी हिल गई, और काँप उठी और पहाड़ों की नींव कँपित होकर हिल गई क्योंकि वह अति क्रोधित हुआ था।

Smoke went out of his nostrils. Consuming fire came out of his mouth. Coals were kindled by it.

उसके नथनों से धुआँ निकला, और उसके मुँह से आग निकलकर भस्म करने लगी; जिससे कोएले दहक उठे।

He bowed the heavens also, and came down. Thick darkness was under his feet.

वह स्वर्ग को नीचे झुकाकर उतर आया; और उसके पाँवों तले घोर अंधकार था।

He rode on a cherub, and flew. Yes, he soared on the wings of the wind.

और वह करूब पर सवार होकर उड़ा, वरन् पवन के पंखों पर सवारी करके वेग से उड़ा।

He made darkness his hiding place, his pavilion around him, darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.

उसने अंधियारे को अपने छिपने का स्थान और अपने चारों ओर आकाश की काली घटाओं का मण्डप बनाया।

At the brightness before him his thick clouds passed, hailstones and coals of fire.

उसके आगे बिजली से, ओले और अंगारे गिर पड़े।

The LORD also thundered in the sky. The Most High uttered his voice: hailstones and coals of fire.

तब यहोवा आकाश में गरजा, परमप्रधान ने अपनी वाणी सुनाई और ओले और अंगारों को भेजा।

He sent out his arrows, and scattered them. He routed them with great lightning bolts.

उसने अपने तीर चला-चलाकर शत्रुओं को तितर-बितर किया; वरन् बिजलियाँ गिरा गिराकर उनको परास्त किया।

Then the channels of waters appeared. The foundations of the world were laid bare at your rebuke, LORD, at the blast of the breath of your nostrils.

तब जल के नाले देख पड़े, और जगत की नींव प्रगट हुई, यह तो यहोवा तेरी डाँट से, और तेरे नथनों की साँस की झोंक से हुआ।

He sent from on high. He took me. He drew me out of many waters.

उसने ऊपर से हाथ बढ़ाकर मुझे थाम लिया, और गहरे जल में से खींच लिया।

He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me; for they were too mighty for me.

उसने मेरे बलवन्त शत्रु से, और उनसे जो मुझसे घृणा करते थे, मुझे छुड़ाया; क्योंकि वे अधिक सामर्थी थे।

They came on me in the day of my calamity, but the LORD was my support.

मेरे संकट के दिन वे मेरे विरुद्ध आए परन्तु यहोवा मेरा आश्रय था।

He brought me out also into a large place. He delivered me, because he delighted in me.

और उसने मुझे निकालकर चौड़े स्थान में पहुँचाया, उसने मुझ को छुड़ाया, क्योंकि वह मुझसे प्रसन्न था।

The LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness. According to the cleanness of my hands, he has recompensed me.

यहोवा ने मुझसे मेरी धार्मिकता के अनुसार व्यवहार किया; और मेरे हाथों की शुद्धता के अनुसार उसने मुझे बदला दिया।

For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

क्योंकि मैं यहोवा के मार्गों पर चलता रहा, और दुष्टता के कारण अपने परमेश्वर से दूर न हुआ।

For all his ordinances were before me. I didn’t put away his statutes from me.

क्योंकि उसके सारे निर्णय मेरे सम्मुख बने रहे और मैंने उसकी विधियों को न त्यागा।

I was also blameless with him. I kept myself from my iniquity.

और मैं उसके सम्मुख सिद्ध बना रहा, और अधर्म से अपने को बचाए रहा।

Therefore the LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.

यहोवा ने मुझे मेरी धार्मिकता के अनुसार बदला दिया, और मेरे हाथों की उस शुद्धता के अनुसार जिसे वह देखता था।

With the merciful you will show yourself merciful. With the perfect man, you will show yourself perfect.

विश्वासयोग्य के साथ तू अपने को विश्वासयोग्य दिखाता; और खरे पुरुष के साथ तू अपने को खरा दिखाता है।

With the pure, you will show yourself pure. With the crooked you will show yourself shrewd.

शुद्ध के साथ तू अपने को शुद्ध दिखाता, और टेढ़े के साथ तू तिरछा बनता है।

For you will save the afflicted people, but the arrogant eyes you will bring down.

क्योंकि तू दीन लोगों को तो बचाता है; परन्तु घमण्ड भरी आँखों को नीची करता है।

For you will light my lamp, LORD. My God will light up my darkness.

हाँ, तू ही मेरे दीपक को जलाता है; मेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा मेरे अंधियारे को उजियाला कर देता है।

For by you, I advance through a troop. By my God, I leap over a wall.

क्योंकि तेरी सहायता से मैं सेना पर धावा करता हूँ; और अपने परमेश्वर की सहायता से शहरपनाह को लाँघ जाता हूँ।

As for God, his way is perfect. The LORD’s word is tried. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.

परमेश्वर का मार्ग सिद्ध है; यहोवा का वचन ताया हुआ है; वह अपने सब शरणागतों की ढाल है।

For who is God, except the LORD? Who is a rock, besides our God,

यहोवा को छोड़ क्या कोई परमेश्वर है? हमारे परमेश्वर को छोड़ क्या और कोई चट्टान है?

the God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect?

यह वही परमेश्वर है, जो सामर्थ्य से मेरा कमरबन्ध बाँधता है, और मेरे मार्ग को सिद्ध करता है।

He makes my feet like deer’s feet, and sets me on my high places.

वही मेरे पैरों को हिरनी के पैरों के समान बनाता है, और मुझे ऊँचे स्थानों पर खड़ा करता है।

He teaches my hands to war, so that my arms bend a bow of bronze.

वह मेरे हाथों को युद्ध करना सिखाता है, इसलिए मेरी बाहों से पीतल का धनुष झुक जाता है।

You have also given me the shield of your salvation. Your right hand sustains me. Your gentleness has made me great.

तूने मुझ को अपने बचाव की ढाल दी है, तू अपने दाहिने हाथ से मुझे सम्भाले हुए है, और तेरी नम्रता ने मुझे महान बनाया है।

You have enlarged my steps under me, My feet have not slipped.

तूने मेरे पैरों के लिये स्थान चौड़ा कर दिया, और मेरे पैर नहीं फिसले।

I will pursue my enemies, and overtake them. I won’t turn away until they are consumed.

मैं अपने शत्रुओं का पीछा करके उन्हें पकड़ लूँगा; और जब तक उनका अन्त न करूँ तब तक न लौटूँगा।

I will strike them through, so that they will not be able to rise. They shall fall under my feet.

मैं उन्हें ऐसा बेधूँगा कि वे उठ न सकेंगे; वे मेरे पाँवों के नीचे गिर जाएंगे।

For you have armed me with strength to the battle. You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.

क्योंकि तूने युद्ध के लिये मेरी कमर में शक्ति का पटुका बाँधा है; और मेरे विरोधियों को मेरे सम्मुख नीचा कर दिया।

You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me, that I might cut off those who hate me.

तूने मेरे शत्रुओं की पीठ मेरी ओर फेर दी; ताकि मैं उनको काट डालूँ जो मुझसे द्वेष रखते हैं।

They cried, but there was no one to save; even to the LORD, but he didn’t answer them.

उन्होंने दुहाई तो दी परन्तु उन्हें कोई बचानेवाला न मिला, उन्होंने यहोवा की भी दुहाई दी, परन्तु उसने भी उनको उत्तर न दिया।

Then I beat them small as the dust before the wind. I cast them out as the mire of the streets.

तब मैंने उनको कूट कूटकर पवन से उड़ाई हुई धूल के समान कर दिया; मैंने उनको मार्ग के कीचड़ के समान निकाल फेंका।

You have delivered me from the strivings of the people. You have made me the head of the nations. A people whom I have not known shall serve me.

तूने मुझे प्रजा के झगड़ों से भी छुड़ाया; तूने मुझे अन्यजातियों का प्रधान बनाया है; जिन लोगों को मैं जानता भी न था वे मेरी सेवा करते है।

As soon as they hear of me they shall obey me. The foreigners shall submit themselves to me.

मेरा नाम सुनते ही वे मेरी आज्ञा का पालन करेंगे; परदेशी मेरे वश में हो जाएँगे।

The foreigners shall fade away, and shall come trembling out of their strongholds.

परदेशी मुर्झा जाएँगे, और अपने किलों में से थरथराते हुए निकलेंगे।

The LORD lives! Blessed be my rock. Exalted be the God of my salvation,

यहोवा परमेश्वर जीवित है; मेरी चट्टान धन्य है; और मेरे मुक्तिदाता परमेश्वर की बड़ाई हो।

even the God who executes vengeance for me, and subdues peoples under me.

धन्य है मेरा पलटा लेनेवाला परमेश्वर! जिसने देश-देश के लोगों को मेरे वश में कर दिया है;

He rescues me from my enemies. Yes, you lift me up above those who rise up against me. You deliver me from the violent man.

और मुझे मेरे शत्रुओं से छुड़ाया है; तू मुझ को मेरे विरोधियों से ऊँचा करता, और उपद्रवी पुरुष से बचाता है।

Therefore I will give thanks to you, LORD, among the nations, and will sing praises to your name.

इस कारण मैं जाति-जाति के सामने तेरा धन्यवाद करूँगा, और तेरे नाम का भजन गाऊँगा।

He gives great deliverance to his king, and shows loving kindness to his anointed, to David and to his offspring, forever more.

वह अपने ठहराए हुए राजा को महान विजय देता है, वह अपने अभिषिक्त दाऊद पर और उसके वंश पर युगानुयुग करुणा करता रहेगा।
