Psalms 114

When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of foreign language,
जब इस्राएल ने मिस्र से, अर्थात् याकूब के घराने ने अन्य भाषावालों के मध्य से कूच किया,

Judah became his sanctuary, Israel his dominion.
तब यहूदा यहोवा का पवित्रस्थान और इस्राएल उसके राज्य के लोग हो गए।

The sea saw it, and fled. The Jordan was driven back.
समुद्र देखकर भागा, यरदन नदी उलटी बही।

The mountains skipped like rams, the little hills like lambs.
पहाड़ मेढ़ों के समान उछलने लगे, और पहाड़ियाँ भेड़-बकरियों के बच्चों के समान उछलने लगीं।

What was it, you sea, that you fled? You Jordan, that you turned back?
हे समुद्र, तुझे क्या हुआ, कि तू भागा? और हे यरदन तुझे क्या हुआ कि तू उलटी बही?

You mountains, that you skipped like rams? You little hills, like lambs?
हे पहाड़ों, तुम्हें क्या हुआ, कि तुम भेड़ों के समान, और हे पहाड़ियों तुम्हें क्या हुआ, कि तुम भेड़-बकरियों के बच्चों के समान उछलीं?

Tremble, you earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob,
हे पृथ्वी प्रभु के सामने, हाँ, याकूब के परमेश्वर के सामने थरथरा।

who turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a spring of waters.
वह चट्टान को जल का ताल, चकमक के पत्थर को जल का सोता बना डालता है।
