Psalms 135

Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD’s name! Praise him, you servants of the LORD,

यहोवा की स्तुति करो, यहोवा के नाम की स्तुति करो, हे यहोवा के सेवकों उसकी स्तुति करो,

you who stand in the LORD’s house, in the courts of our God’s house.

तुम जो यहोवा के भवन में, अर्थात् हमारे परमेश्वर के भवन के आँगनों में खड़े रहते हो!

Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good. Sing praises to his name, for that is pleasant.

यहोवा की स्तुति करो, क्योंकि वो भला है; उसके नाम का भजन गाओ, क्योंकि यह मनोहर है!

For the LORD has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel for his own possession.

यहोवा ने तो याकूब को अपने लिये चुना है, अर्थात् इस्राएल को अपना निज धन होने के लिये चुन लिया है।

For I know that the LORD is great, that our Lord is above all gods.

मैं तो जानता हूँ कि यहोवा महान है, हमारा प्रभु सब देवताओं से ऊँचा है।

Whatever the LORD pleased, that he has done, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps.

जो कुछ यहोवा ने चाहा उसे उसने आकाश और पृथ्वी और समुद्र और सब गहरे स्थानों में किया है।

He causes the clouds to rise from the ends of the earth. He makes lightnings with the rain. He brings the wind out of his treasuries.

वह पृथ्वी की छोर से कुहरे उठाता है, और वर्षा के लिये बिजली बनाता है, और पवन को अपने भण्डार में से निकालता है।

He struck the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and animal.

उसने मिस्र में क्या मनुष्य क्या पशु, सब के पहिलौठों को मार डाला!

He sent signs and wonders into the middle of you, Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his servants.

हे मिस्र, उसने तेरे बीच में फ़िरौन और उसके सब कर्मचारियों के विरुद्ध चिन्ह और चमत्कार किए।

He struck many nations, and killed mighty kings—

उसने बहुत सी जातियाँ नाश की, और सामर्थी राजाओं को,

Sihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan—

अर्थात् एमोरियों के राजा सीहोन को, और बाशान के राजा ओग को, और कनान के सब राजाओं को घात किया;

and gave their land for a heritage, a heritage to Israel, his people.

और उनके देश को बाँटकर, अपनी प्रजा इस्राएल का भाग होने के लिये दे दिया।

Your name, LORD, endures forever; your renown, LORD, throughout all generations.

हे यहोवा, तेरा नाम सदा स्थिर है, हे यहोवा, जिस नाम से तेरा स्मरण होता है, वह पीढ़ी-पीढ़ी बना रहेगा।

For the LORD will judge his people and have compassion on his servants.

यहोवा तो अपनी प्रजा का न्याय चुकाएगा, और अपने दासों की दुर्दशा देखकर तरस खाएगा।

The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.

अन्यजातियों की मूरतें सोना-चाँदी ही हैं, वे मनुष्यों की बनाई हुई हैं।

They have mouths, but they can’t speak. They have eyes, but they can’t see.

उनके मुँह तो रहता है, परन्तु वे बोल नहीं सकती, उनके आँखें तो रहती हैं, परन्तु वे देख नहीं सकती,

They have ears, but they can’t hear, neither is there any breath in their mouths.

उनके कान तो रहते हैं, परन्तु वे सुन नहीं सकती, न उनमें कुछ भी साँस चलती है।

Those who make them will be like them, yes, everyone who trusts in them.

जैसी वे हैं वैसे ही उनके बनानेवाले भी हैं; और उन पर सब भरोसा रखनेवाले भी वैसे ही हो जाएँगे!

House of Israel, praise the LORD! House of Aaron, praise the LORD!

हे इस्राएल के घराने, यहोवा को धन्य कह! हे हारून के घराने, यहोवा को धन्य कह!

House of Levi, praise the LORD! You who fear the LORD, praise the LORD!

हे लेवी के घराने, यहोवा को धन्य कह! हे यहोवा के डरवैयों, यहोवा को धन्य कहो!

Blessed be the LORD from Zion, who dwells in Jerusalem. Praise the LORD!

यहोवा जो यरूशलेम में वास करता है, उसे सिय्योन में धन्य कहा जाए! यहोवा की स्तुति करो!
