Who we are
This website belongs to Light of the World Ministries, a church at Plot 141, Victoria City, Zirakpur, Punjab 140604, India. If you have a question about anything here, call the church office on +91 96469 60838.
What this website collects
Almost nothing. The site has no accounts, no analytics that identify you, and no advertising. It stores one thing in your browser: which of the three doors on the homepage you chose (new, curious, or from a ministry), so the page reads the same way next time. That never leaves your device. Your browser may also cache the pages and images so they load faster.
Videos are only requested from YouTube when you press play. From that moment YouTube's own privacy policy applies to the player. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which does not set advertising cookies.
Prayer requests
When you send a prayer request, the form opens WhatsApp on your own device with your message already written. Nothing is stored on this website. Your message goes to the church's prayer line, which is answered by our pastoral team, and it is not shared beyond them. Prayer requests often contain health and family information, so we treat them as sensitive: they are kept for up to 90 days so the team can keep praying and follow up if you asked us to, and then deleted. You can ask us to delete yours at any time by calling the prayer line.
Contacting us
If you call or message the church office, we keep your name and number only as long as it takes to deal with what you asked, unless you ask to be kept in touch. We do not sell, rent, or share your details with anyone, and we do not add you to any list without asking.
Children
We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18 through this website. Photographs and videos of children in LOWC Sunday School or the youth clubs are never published without a parent's or guardian's verifiable written consent, and we do not track or profile children in any way. If you believe a child's information or image has been used without consent, call the office and we will remove it.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and withdraw any consent you gave. To do any of these, call the church office on +91 96469 60838. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Links to other sites
This site links to YouTube, Instagram, Google Maps and WhatsApp. Each has its own privacy policy, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we will change this page and the date at the top.
