Before you book
The things people ask first.
How long does a visit last?
It depends on what you choose. A quick call is fifteen minutes; prayer and guidance, a membership or baptism conversation, and a visit request are half an hour; pastoral counseling is forty-five minutes; pre-marital counseling is an hour. The time you pick is held for you, and nobody is hurried out.
Is the conversation confidential?
Yes. What you say is treated with care and is not discussed outside the pastoral team. Two honest exceptions: if someone is in danger, or the law requires it, the pastor may have to act — he would tell you so rather than go behind your back. If you would rather not write anything down beforehand, leave the note blank and simply talk when you meet.
How do I reschedule or cancel?
Use the links in your confirmation email. They open this page with your appointment already loaded, so there is nothing to sign in to and no password to remember. If you have lost the email, call the church office and they will sort it out.
What should I bring?
Nothing at all. Bring whatever you want to talk about, and a Bible if you have one, though there are plenty here. If it helps to write things down first, write them in the note when you book — only Pastor Brian reads it.
Can I bring someone with me?
Of course. Many people bring a spouse, a parent or a friend. For pre-marital counseling we would rather see you both together.
Is there a charge?
No. Nothing this church does is charged for, and that includes this.
