Job 11

Then Zophar, the Naamathite, answered,

तब नामाती सोपर ने कहा,

“Shouldn’t the multitude of words be answered? Should a man full of talk be justified?

“बहुत सी बातें जो कही गई हैं, क्या उनका उत्तर देना न चाहिये? क्या यह बकवादी मनुष्य धर्मी ठहराया जाए?

Should your boastings make men hold their peace? When you mock, will no man make you ashamed?

क्या तेरे बड़े बोल के कारण लोग चुप रहें? और जब तू ठट्ठा करता है, तो क्या कोई तुझे लज्जित न करे?

For you say, ‘My doctrine is pure. I am clean in your eyes.’

तू तो यह कहता है, ‘मेरा सिद्धान्त शुद्ध है और मैं परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में पवित्र हूँ।’

But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against you,

परन्तु भला हो, कि परमेश्वर स्वयं बातें करें, और तेरे विरुद्ध मुँह खोले,

that he would show you the secrets of wisdom! For true wisdom has two sides. Know therefore that God exacts of you less than your iniquity deserves.

और तुझ पर बुद्धि की गुप्त बातें प्रगट करे, कि उनका मर्म तेरी बुद्धि से बढ़कर है। इसलिए जान ले, कि परमेश्वर तेरे अधर्म में से बहुत कुछ भूल जाता है।

“Can you fathom the mystery of God? Or can you probe the limits of the Almighty?

“क्या तू परमेश्वर का गूढ़ भेद पा सकता है? और क्या तू सर्वशक्तिमान का मर्म पूरी रीति से जाँच सकता है?

They are high as heaven. What can you do? They are deeper than Sheol. What can you know?

वह आकाश सा ऊँचा है; तू क्या कर सकता है? वह अधोलोक से गहरा है, तू कहाँ समझ सकता है?

Its measure is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.

उसकी माप पृथ्वी से भी लम्बी है और समुद्र से चौड़ी है।

If he passes by, or confines, or convenes a court, then who can oppose him?

जब परमेश्वर बीच से गुजरे, बन्दी बना ले और अदालत में बुलाए, तो कौन उसको रोक सकता है?

For he knows false men. He sees iniquity also, even though he doesn’t consider it.

क्योंकि वह पाखण्डी मनुष्यों का भेद जानता है, और अनर्थ काम को बिना सोच विचार किए भी जान लेता है।

An empty-headed man becomes wise when a man is born as a wild donkey’s colt.

निर्बुद्धि मनुष्य बुद्धिमान हो सकता है; यद्यपि मनुष्य जंगली गदहे के बच्‍चे के समान जन्म ले;

“If you set your heart aright, stretch out your hands toward him.

“यदि तू अपना मन शुद्ध करे, और परमेश्वर की ओर अपने हाथ फैलाए,

If iniquity is in your hand, put it far away. Don’t let unrighteousness dwell in your tents.

और यदि कोई अनर्थ काम तुझ से हुए हो उसे दूर करे, और अपने डेरों में कोई कुटिलता न रहने दे,

Surely then you will lift up your face without spot. Yes, you will be steadfast, and will not fear,

तब तो तू निश्चय अपना मुँह निष्कलंक दिखा सकेगा; और तू स्थिर होकर कभी न डरेगा।

for you will forget your misery. You will remember it like waters that have passed away.

तब तू अपना दुःख भूल जाएगा, तू उसे उस पानी के समान स्मरण करेगा जो बह गया हो।

Life will be clearer than the noonday. Though there is darkness, it will be as the morning.

और तेरा जीवन दोपहर से भी अधिक प्रकाशमान होगा; और चाहे अंधेरा भी हो तो भी वह भोर सा हो जाएगा।

You will be secure, because there is hope. Yes, you will search, and will take your rest in safety.

और तुझे आशा होगी, इस कारण तू निर्भय रहेगा; और अपने चारों ओर देख देखकर तू निर्भय विश्राम कर सकेगा।

Also you will lie down, and no one will make you afraid. Yes, many will court your favor.

और जब तू लेटेगा, तब कोई तुझे डराएगा नहीं; और बहुत लोग तुझे प्रसन्न करने का यत्न करेंगे।

But the eyes of the wicked will fail. They will have no way to flee. Their hope will be the giving up of the spirit.”

परन्तु दुष्ट लोगों की आँखें धुँधली हो जाएँगी, और उन्हें कोई शरणस्थान न मिलेगा और उनकी आशा यही होगी कि प्राण निकल जाए।”
