The Love of God

Everyone in the Tricity is loved on condition. Good marks, then praise. Good salary, then respect. Good behaviour, then belonging. So when you hear that God loves you with no conditions, something inside says, “There must be a catch.” Satan works hard to keep you believing that, using pride, distractions, and worries. This message is about the love of God: how to receive it, how to keep it, and how to give it away.

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life… nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)

Nicodemus and the Love of God

The love of God is not understood from a position of pride but received on your knees.

In John 3, a Pharisee named Nicodemus came to Jesus at night. He was a religious leader, a teacher of Israel, a man with a title. Jesus told him he must be born again, and this learned man asked how a grown man could go back into his mother’s womb. His knowledge could not help him. He was thinking about his position and his earthly logic while Jesus was talking about the Spirit.

Like Nicodemus, we can let pride block us from God’s love. Before you grow in faith, you must come down: leave the pride, seek God sincerely, and be careful who you allow to speak into your life. Line your heart up with God’s truth, not with your degree.

Loving Without Discrimination

God’s love does not check caste, colour, bank balance, or surname before it arrives.

His love is for everyone, and as His children we are called to love the same way. That includes the big decisions. When you choose a life partner, seek God’s will rather than wealth, looks, or social status. A surrendered heart says, “Let Your will be done.”

Live to please God, not people. Do not form little groups at church tea time that some people cannot enter. Do not show favouritism. God blesses all His children alike, and He wants them united.

The Permanence of God’s Love

Human love comes with an expiry date, but the love of God never runs out.

Romans 8:38 reminds us that nothing, no hardship and no trial, can separate us from His love. Emotions change, circumstances change, but this does not. Do not let a bad month convince you God has left.

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” He gave His best for you. The only fitting reply is to love Him with your whole heart.

Honoring God with Our Best

God asked Israel for the firstborn because He wants the first, not the leftover.

Numbers 3:13 says every firstborn belongs to the Lord. That principle reaches everything you have. Your children, your time, your resources should be dedicated to God, and the work you do in His ministries should reflect His will and purpose.

Many people give God what is left after everything else: the tired end of the day, the small change. God deserves the first and the best. Be faithful in your offerings, your tithes, and your commitments, because God is faithful to His promises.

God’s Timing and Our Actions

God is never late and never early, and He does not need you to rush Him.

Everything happens in His perfect timing. Instead of rushing ahead or dragging your feet, be patient and ready for His plan. Let your life show faith, obedience, and trust in His timing.

Your actions should inspire faith in others. Instead of gossiping, dividing people, or lying, live in a way that glorifies God. People notice everything: your landlord, your colleagues, your children. Your changed life is the testimony they read.

Breaking Satan’s Authority Over Our Lives

You were made in God’s image, so do not hand the keys of your life to a liar.

God created you in His image and likeness, but through sin and deception many people have handed authority to Satan. Break free from the lies. You are a child of God, and that is who you were made to be.

When you commit to fighting sin and your own struggles, God fights your external battles. 1 John 3:16 says Jesus laid down His life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. Serve. Sacrifice. That is how the fight looks.

A Love That Transforms

God’s love is not a feeling you wait for but a force that changes you.

Jesus proved it by dying for us, and the right response is a life that reflects His love. Your transformation should be visible to the people around you. Others should see God’s love in your words, your actions, and your attitude. True love shows itself in work and in truthfulness, not in speeches.

Love Your Neighbor and Preach the Gospel

Love your neighbour as yourself, including the neighbour who plays loud music at midnight.

Jesus commanded it. That means kindness, forgiveness, and compassion, even toward people who are hard to love. And the love of God is not meant to be kept in a box. We are called to share the good news with all people, through our words and through the way we live. It is for everyone.

The love of God is greater than your failures and stronger than your moods.

It is the foundation of our faith, unshakable in every circumstance. Choose to walk in His love every day, let it change your heart, and let it guide your actions. When you surrender to Him, love without discrimination, and live in obedience, you become a true reflection of His love.
