Moreover, David and the captains of the army set apart for the service certain of the sons of Asaph, of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who were to prophesy with harps, with stringed instruments, and with cymbals. The number of those who did the work according to their service was:

फिर दाऊद और सेनापतियों ने आसाप, हेमान और यदूतून के कुछ पुत्रों को सेवकाई के लिये अलग किया कि वे वीणा, सारंगी और झाँझ बजा-बजाकर नबूवत करें। और इस सेवकाई के काम करनेवाले मनुष्यों की गिनती यह थी:

of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asharelah. The sons of Asaph were under the hand of Asaph, who prophesied at the order of the king.

अर्थात् आसाप के पुत्रों में से जक्कूर, यूसुफ, नतन्याह और अशरेला, आसाप के ये पुत्र आसाप ही की आज्ञा में थे, जो राजा की आज्ञा के अनुसार नबूवत करता था।

Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied in giving thanks and praising the LORD with the harp.

फिर यदूतून के पुत्रों में से गदल्याह, सरी, यशायाह, शिमी, हशब्याह, मत्तित्याह, ये ही छः अपने पिता यदूतून की आज्ञा में होकर जो यहोवा का धन्यवाद और स्तुति कर करके नबूवत करता था, वीणा बजाते थे।

Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth.

हेमान के पुत्रों में से, बुक्किय्याह, मत्तन्याह, उज्जीएल, शबूएल, यरीमोत, हनन्याह, हनानी, एलीआता, गिद्दलती, रोममतीएजेर, योशबकाशा, मल्लोती, होतीर और महजीओत;

All these were the sons of Heman the king’s seer in the words of God, to lift up the horn. God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

परमेश्वर की प्रतिज्ञानुकूल जो उसका नाम बढ़ाने की थी, ये सब हेमान के पुत्र थे जो राजा का दर्शी था; क्योंकि परमेश्वर ने हेमान को चौदह बेटे और तीन बेटियाँ दीं थीं।

All these were under the hands of their father for song in the LORD’s house, with cymbals, stringed instruments, and harps, for the service of God’s house: Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman being under the order of the king.

ये सब यहोवा के भवन में गाने के लिये अपने-अपने पिता के अधीन रहकर, परमेश्वर के भवन, की सेवकाई में झाँझ, सारंगी और वीणा बजाते थे। आसाप, यदूतून और हेमान राजा के अधीन रहते थे।

The number of them, with their brothers who were instructed in singing to the LORD, even all who were skillful, was two hundred eighty-eight.

इन सभी की गिनती भाइयों समेत जो यहोवा के गीत सीखे हुए और सब प्रकार से निपुण थे, दो सौ अट्ठासी थी।

They cast lots for their offices, all alike, the small as well as the great, the teacher as well as the student.

उन्होंने क्या बड़ा, क्या छोटा, क्या गुरु, क्या चेला, अपनी-अपनी बारी के लिये चिट्ठी डाली।

Now the first lot came out for Asaph to Joseph; the second to Gedaliah, he and his brothers and sons were twelve;

पहली चिट्ठी आसाप के बेटों में से यूसुफ के नाम पर निकली, दूसरी गदल्याह के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्र और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

the third to Zaccur, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

तीसरी जक्कूर के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्र और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

the fourth to Izri, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

चौथी यिस्री के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्र और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

the fifth to Nethaniah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

पाँचवीं नतन्याह के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्र और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

the sixth to Bukkiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

छठीं बुक्किय्याह के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्र और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

the seventh to Jesharelah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

सातवीं यसरेला के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्र और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

the eighth to Jeshaiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

आठवीं यशायाह के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्र और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

the ninth to Mattaniah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

नौवीं मत्तन्याह के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्र और भाई समेत बारह थे।

the tenth to Shimei, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

दसवीं शिमी के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्र और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

the eleventh to Azarel, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

ग्यारहवीं अजरेल के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्र और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

the twelfth to Hashabiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

बारहवीं हशब्याह के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्र और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

for the thirteenth, Shubael, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

तेरहवीं शूबाएल के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्र और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

for the fourteenth, Mattithiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

चौदहवीं मत्तित्याह के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्र और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

for the fifteenth to Jeremoth, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

पन्द्रहवीं यरेमोत के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्र और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

for the sixteenth to Hananiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

सोलहवीं हनन्याह के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्र और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

for the seventeenth to Joshbekashah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

सत्रहवीं योशबकाशा के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्र और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

for the eighteenth to Hanani, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

अठारहवीं हनानी के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्र और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

for the nineteenth to Mallothi, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

उन्‍नीसवीं मल्लोती के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्र और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

for the twentieth to Eliathah, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

बीसवीं एलियातह के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्र और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

for the twenty-first to Hothir, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

इक्कीसवीं होतीर के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्र और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

for the twenty-second to Giddalti, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

बाईसवीं गिद्दलती के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्र और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

for the twenty-third to Mahazioth, his sons and his brothers, twelve;

तेईसवीं महजीओत; के नाम पर निकली जिसके पुत्र और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।

for the twenty-fourth to Romamti-Ezer, his sons and his brothers, twelve.

चौबीसवीं चिट्ठी रोममतीएजेर के नाम पर निकली, जिसके पुत्र और भाई उस समेत बारह थे।
