2 Corinthians 5

For we know that if the earthly house of our tent is dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal, in the heavens.

क्योंकि हम जानते हैं, कि जब हमारा पृथ्वी पर का डेरा सरीखा घर गिराया जाएगा तो हमें परमेश्वर की ओर से स्वर्ग पर एक ऐसा भवन मिलेगा, जो हाथों से बना हुआ घर नहीं परन्तु चिरस्थाई है।

For most certainly in this we groan, longing to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven,

इसमें तो हम कराहते, और बड़ी लालसा रखते हैं; कि अपने स्वर्गीय घर को पहन लें।

if indeed being clothed, we will not be found naked.

कि इसके पहनने से हम नंगे न पाए जाएँ।

For indeed we who are in this tent do groan, being burdened, not that we desire to be unclothed, but that we desire to be clothed, that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.

और हम इस डेरे में रहते हुए बोझ से दबे कराहते रहते हैं; क्योंकि हम उतारना नहीं, वरन् और पहनना चाहते हैं, ताकि वह जो मरनहार है जीवन में डूब जाए।

Now he who made us for this very thing is God, who also gave to us the down payment of the Spirit.

और जिसने हमें इसी बात के लिये तैयार किया है वह परमेश्वर है, जिसने हमें बयाने में आत्मा भी दिया है।

Therefore we are always confident and know that while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord;

इसलिए हम सदा ढाढ़स बाँधे रहते हैं और यह जानते हैं; कि जब तक हम देह में रहते हैं, तब तक प्रभु से अलग हैं।

for we walk by faith, not by sight.

क्योंकि हम रूप को देखकर नहीं, पर विश्वास से चलते हैं।

We are courageous, I say, and are willing rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.

इसलिए हम ढाढ़स बाँधे रहते हैं, और देह से अलग होकर प्रभु के साथ रहना और भी उत्तम समझते हैं।

Therefore also we make it our aim, whether at home or absent, to be well pleasing to him.

इस कारण हमारे मन की उमंग यह है, कि चाहे साथ रहें, चाहे अलग रहें पर हम उसे भाते रहें।

For we must all be revealed before the judgment seat of Christ that each one may receive the things in the body according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

क्योंकि अवश्य है, कि हम सब का हाल मसीह के न्याय आसन के सामने खुल जाए, कि हर एक व्यक्ति अपने-अपने भले बुरे कामों का बदला जो उसने देह के द्वारा किए हों, पाए।

Knowing therefore the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are revealed to God, and I hope that we are revealed also in your consciences.

इसलिए प्रभु का भय मानकर हम लोगों को समझाते हैं और परमेश्वर पर हमारा हाल प्रगट है; और मेरी आशा यह है, कि तुम्हारे विवेक पर भी प्रगट हुआ होगा।

For we are not commending ourselves to you again, but speak as giving you occasion of boasting on our behalf, that you may have something to answer those who boast in appearance and not in heart.

हम फिर भी अपनी बड़ाई तुम्हारे सामने नहीं करते वरन् हम अपने विषय में तुम्हें घमण्ड करने का अवसर देते हैं, कि तुम उन्हें उत्तर दे सको, जो मन पर नहीं, वरन् दिखावटी बातों पर घमण्ड करते हैं।

For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God. Or if we are of sober mind, it is for you.

यदि हम बेसुध हैं, तो परमेश्वर के लिये; और यदि चैतन्य हैं, तो तुम्हारे लिये हैं।

For the love of Christ compels us; because we judge thus: that one died for all, therefore all died.

क्योंकि मसीह का प्रेम हमें विवश कर देता है; इसलिए कि हम यह समझते हैं, कि जब एक सब के लिये मरा तो सब मर गए।

He died for all, that those who live should no longer live to themselves, but to him who for their sakes died and rose again.

और वह इस निमित्त सब के लिये मरा, कि जो जीवित हैं, वे आगे को अपने लिये न जीएँ परन्तु उसके लिये जो उनके लिये मरा और फिर जी उठा।

Therefore we know no one according to the flesh from now on. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know him so no more.

इस कारण अब से हम किसी को शरीर के अनुसार न समझेंगे, और यदि हमने मसीह को भी शरीर के अनुसार जाना था, तो भी अब से उसको ऐसा नहीं जानेंगे।

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.

इसलिए यदि कोई मसीह में है तो वह नई सृष्टि है: पुरानी बातें बीत गई हैं; देखो, वे सब नई हो गईं।

But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation;

और सब बातें परमेश्वर की ओर से हैं, जिसने मसीह के द्वारा अपने साथ हमारा मेल मिलाप कर लिया, और मेल मिलाप की सेवा हमें सौंप दी है।

namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation.

अर्थात् परमेश्वर ने मसीह में होकर अपने साथ संसार का मेल मिलाप कर लिया, और उनके अपराधों का दोष उन पर नहीं लगाया और उसने मेल मिलाप का वचन हमें सौंप दिया है।

We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

इसलिए हम मसीह के राजदूत हैं; मानो परमेश्वर हमारे द्वारा समझाता है: हम मसीह की ओर से निवेदन करते हैं, कि परमेश्वर के साथ मेल मिलाप कर लो।

For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

जो पाप से अज्ञात था, उसी को उसने हमारे लिये पाप ठहराया, कि हम उसमें होकर परमेश्वर की धार्मिकता बन जाएँ।
